Private Dining

The Grove restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Houston in the 12 acre Discovery Green Park, Both The Grove, the park’s destination restaurant, and the Lake House, a casual quick-serve café on the lake, are operated by Schiller Del Grande Restaurant Group. SDG is a Houston based company that has been developing and operating restaurant concepts in Houston for over 20 years.

The Grove’s menu of Rustic American favorites is the creation of SDG Executive Chef and Co-owner Robert Del Grande and The Grove’s Executive Chef Ryan Pera. Featuring different meats from the Rotisserie, we have created a variety of menu selections, from a basic 3 course dinner to a family style/ wine pairing 5 course meal.

With four different venues for private events, The Grove offers stunning views of the park from its floor to ceiling windows, crisp modernist architecture and cutting edge interior design. The second level features a large outdoor bar floating among the tree tops. It’s the ideal setting for many kinds of private events from corporate dinners, to weddings, family and social gatherings – any kind of reception for groups from a dozen to 700.

General Information

A food minimum per person is required, in addition to sales tax (8.25%), service charge (20%) and beverages. Alcoholic beverages are charged on consumption, and wines must be pre-selected prior to your event, to ensure availability. The Grove takes pride in delivering fresh meats and products to our guests, and we require a set menu for all private parties, at least 2 weeks prior to your event; and your menu must be confirmed 3 business days prior, with no exemptions. Please contact the Catering Department for additional information.

Set - up
Beautiful Italian beige linens and napkins are included in your pricing; as well as tables and coordinated chairs. Specialty linens are permitted.

Space confirmation + Guarantees
Dates are considered definite upon a receipt of a written confirmation from The Grove. Estimated number of guests is due at the time of booking and a guaranteed number of guests must be submitted 3 business days prior to your event.

Payments + Deposits
The Grove requires a valid credit card number to confirm space. Payments are due 3 business days prior to your event, no exceptions. Without a credit card number and payment, The Grove reserves the right to cancel your event at anytime.

Service charge + Sales tax
Sales tax of 8.25% when and where applicable. An amount equal to twenty percent (20%) will be added on all food and beverages charged to the final bill.

Parking
Valet parking is available for your guests at $8 per car. You may host the parking of your guests and have these charges applied to your final bill. Several parking options, included metered, garage and surface lots, are available for our guests.
